Our umbrella anchor will actually hold your umbrella in place at the beach and it is the last one you will have to buy. Now available in White, Blue, Pink, Yellow, Red and Orange! AugBrella is a commercial grade super heavy duty beach umbrella anchor that will keep your umbrella firmly planted in the sand wherever you put it. If your umbrella already has a cheap plastic “screw” at the end of the bottom pole, you will need to remove it if you plan on using a good quality beach umbrella anchor.
Quality
Donāt compare the AugBrella to the cheap imitations. Many of the all plastic beach umbrella augers are priced cheap, but as you know, you get what you pay for. Simply browse some reviews online and you will soon see how long some of the lesser quality products on the market last.
Performance
You can now use what beach rental companies use to secure their umbrellas. There is not a better beach umbrella anchor for loose sand period. The AugBrella is great for use in your back yard as well. It can be used almost anywhere there is soil. Try us at events such as golf outings, concerts, trade shows, or any other event where you may be looking to plant an umbrella without having a stand in the way or where the ground is uneven.

Questions and Answers
Q) How deep do I need to place the AugBrella?Ā
A) A little common sense will go a long way here. If you have soft sugar sand and you step in it and your feet squish in, you will likely need to set you anchor deeper to hold your umbrella properly. It also depends on how tall, and heavy your umbrellas are. When in doubt, set it deeper.
Once your anchor is properly set you should not be able to tug it out of the ground easily. If you can tug it out easily you are not set deep enough. Turn it clockwise and set it deeper. They are 30″ long for a reason. The cheap 6″ long box store anchors will not work in 6″ of soft sand. Think about it, they will NOT get deep enough.
If you are in hard packet wet sand you may not need to go as deep, but again use common sense and the tug method. In hard packed sand the anchor will create a hydraulic effect, so in many cases the easier you turn the anchor in easier it will go in the sand.
Q) I have a “corkscrew” in the bottom of my umbrella. Will this anchor work with my umbrella?
A)Ā NO, but you can remove that cheap corkscrew off of the bottom of the umbrella. You are obviously worried about the cheap umbrella not holding in the wind, so simply drill out the rivet that holds the corkscrew on. Once you drill out the rivet the little tip at the end will pull out. You can always cut it off using a tubing cutter to a hacksaw too. Just make sure you file or sand off any sharp edges.
Q) What size umbrellas will the AugBrella work with?
A) The AugBrella will hold umbrellasĀ with a pole diameter for about .75″ (3/4″) to 1.6″. Most of the commercial grade umbrellas have a 1-3/8″ to 1-1/2″ pole.
